i was going to ask if this was technically EIA, but then i realized what xxovercastxx said is exactly what i believe in the whole evolutionism/creationism debate. Created by a higher power when life started, and THEN evolution took over from there.

I believe this game has been so over hyped its not going to meet our expectations in the long run.

Right now I can see that to add that much level of play from spore to planetary warfare they would have needed to cut alot of complexity out of the game.

Isn't it being released to consoles as well? Ditto.

This is clearly not evolution, but what the religious needs to ask themselves is when did our latest ancestor get modified in God's Creature Creator? The answer is : Never, because life is a continuos process, it evolves at all times and is shaped by everything around it, the environment does the selecting. God did not pick up our shared ancetor with chimps and go, "right, Ape 1 will get long arms and live in the trees and ape 2 will get a bigger brain, less hair and walk on 2 feet". It happened gradually, our ancestral line was gradually shaped more and more human-like, and the chimps line was shaped more and more chimp-like.

And thats how evolution has always worked, back to the first proto-cell and the very first replicators.
