Since we have Obama funded anti-McCain ads here now, here's a little montage that slaps together Obama quotes on his policy positions. It's funded by McCain, but there is no voice-over, just Obama quotes.

Good stuff. I swear I've seen this one before elsewhere a while ago, though obviously not on TV.

Overreaches a bit -- he's had to eat crow on the violence, but it was increasing every month until November 2007, and he's still saying the surge hasn't brought about the political reconciliation it was supposed to, and therefore it didn't "work". Also, he often points out that the Anbar Awakening deserves a lot of credit for reducing the violence, as well as the deal cut with Al Sadr and, saddest of all, because most of the ethnic cleansing has been done.

The bit from 2003-2004 where he argues against timelines is golden, they should just focus on that one, because he's going to have a harder time walking that one back.

I'd love to see McCain try to beat up Obama for voting to fund the war. What, by chance, do you think McCain would have done if he'd voted against funding it? Applauded his moral stance for peace?

It's a good way to change the subject from whether or not staying or leaving is what people want to do, which McCain desperately needs to do, because there aren't too many people who want to stay.

Looks like the staying question is answered so that takes a bit of wind out of Obama's sails:

^ Nothing but good news as far as I'm concerned.

Probably good news for Obama too, he can say "See? I told you we could withdraw in 18 months".

Thinking further down the road, it also protects him a little bit from backlash if things in Iraq go south with the withdrawal when he's President, and can say "George Bush set the timetable for withdrawal". He'd still get raked over the coals of course, but it'd be tempered a little by that fact.

Lol, I was anticipating some really damning stuff, but a lot these are a stretch, and the 'swoosh' text coming in is laughable at parts. That, and it's a bit too long to really get a good cohesive point across.

If this is all the Republicans can muster, it's gonna be a cakewalk.

That is some good stuff. I agree with net, in todays bush hate mode, he could get away with a lot by passing the buck to bush. Net hits the money right on with the time tables thing. That is kind of his bedrock phrase about the war. That is how kerry lost by being called wishy washy. Obama has a mastery of public relations though, so I think even if he got in a jam like that, he could recover more so that kerry did.

No matter what any one says, fundamental Obama followers and fundamental Mccain followers will not change their minds.

Point is he is no different, than any other of the choices out there, they all double talk, they are all slimy.

I'm an Obama/Biden supporter, but I'm glad to see this made it on the sift.

"... forget about McCain and Bush's war policy! Watch these clips where Obama (who has no official military advisors and no military experience) talks about pulling out the troops as fast as possible but with different details! He's a monster!"
