Carlos Paredes is often considered the best portuguese guitarist, and one of the best to ever have lived. Unfortunately he died a couple of years ago, after a prolonged neurological disease that prevented him from playing in the last 11 years of his life. He was such a humble man, that even though he was famous in Portugal and abroad, and certainly recognized as a musical genius, he never left his day job as an x-ray filer at an hospital.
