What got me was the boat that the guy was filming on. Was pretty damn close to this boat.
Considering the guy filming it didn't seem to be tossed around by the waves, I'm thinking he was on land.
Anyone know why that boat was so close to shore? I thought it was usually safer to ride out storms like that away from the coast.
Southern Ocean? (I'm guessing from the grey water).
Perhaps the southern tip of Chile?
I love this video because there is an odd kind of quiet beauty to the whole thing. It is ironic considering how unhappy the people on that boat must have been. We're so detached from the horror that must be going on.
1. That's got to be the most serious post ever on the sift.
2. I'm gonna assume it's fishermen, and thus i imagine they were sat around drinking, smoking, laughing, farting, belching and comparing tattoos whilst claiming they had been on rougher see-saw rides than this minor swell. Then something about swell/swelling and crotches.

The guy filming it might be using a tele-lens.

It's like that one time I filmed a plastic grocery bag playing in a breeze. It was so... beautiful.
Lots of cameras have steady-features, plus he could have been on a larger ship or just have REALLY good balance.
